Best Solar Schemes In India

Solar Schemes India

Best Solar Schemes In India, India has 300 days of sunshine per year and is blessed with a lot of solar energy potential. India has a total of 5,000 trillion kWh annually. Most parts receive 4-7 kWh/sq. Each day, it is approximately 1.2 million. To make this renewable energy source more efficient, the government will create solar schemes. Here is a list containing some of the most popular and well-known solar schemes in India.

Best Solar Schemes In India

Jawaharlal Nehru National Solar Mission

Jawaharlal Nehru National Solar Missolssion, also known as National Solar Mission, is one of eight National Missions that make up India’s NAPCC. This solar scheme aims to make India a leader in the sector of solar energy by creating policy conditions. The Mission set an ambitious goal of deploying 20,000 MW grid-connected solar power in 2022. This was later revised to 1,00,000.MW in June 2015.

Government Yojana: Solar Energy Subsidy Scheme

According to the Government Yojana, a person can be eligible for a subsidy if they have solar panels on their roof. Although the subsidy is determined based on the capacity of the solar power plants, the good news is that many people are installing solar energy panels. People will be able to reduce their electricity bills, and the thermal power plant load will decrease.

Solar Park Development

MNRE has created a scheme to establish solar parks in different states with a maximum capacity of 500KW. The scheme offers financial support to the government for the establishment and facilitation of the infrastructure required to set up solar power plants. MNRE has developed a plan to develop at least 25 solar parks, with a combined capacity not less than 20,000 MW.

UDAY Scheme

UDAY, or Ujwal Discom Insurance Yojna, was launched in November 2015. It is a package of revival for Indian electricity distribution companies. The solar scheme india was initiated by the Government of India to provide a permanent solution for the financial crisis that power distribution is currently in. Its goals are to reform the power sector, improve operational efficiency, develop renewable energy, reduce cost of power generation, conserve energy, and energy efficiency.

SECI Scheme

Its main purpose is to develop large-scale rooftop solar projects, channelize government investment, implement MNRE/VGF schemes, provide project management consultancy, and trade solar power. SECI also plays a significant role in the installation of rooftop solar power plants. It has issued tenders for 4307MW of large-scale solar projects, of which 675MW have been commissioned. It has issued tenders for approximately 200MW of rooftop projects, of which 46.5 were commissioned.

Rooftop scheme

SECI has allocated 200MW to projects under its rooftop scheme. Of these, 45MW have been commissioned. Special programs, including 75MW for warehouses or 50MW for the CPWD, have been initiated. SECI recently commissioned the largest international tender of its kind. The total capacity was 602MW. It attracted 132 bidders. This tender is part of the MNRE’s effort to build momentum towards achieving its goal of 40 GW rooftop solar capacity in 2022.
